A perfect match

This project was a result of playing with cuisenaire rods in the ‘putting the fun back in mathematics‘ project. Cuisenaire rods are a learning aid for children that helps them comprehend the basics of mathematics, which is an international language, as opposed to the spoken languages we all use.

While playing with the rods and making compositions, I came across the very simple combo of a pink and a yellowish rod, which resembled a match. Although there is now way you can use this match as an actual match to start a fire, it unmistakably looks like one and will be recognised as such. In combining the fake matches with an authentic packaging, one could mistake these for real matches.

The Union Match edition consists of an unlimited amount of boxes with three matches each. These boxes are available for 50 euro (free shipping within EU, contact me for other countries). Each box is signed on the inside.

The other boxes come from around the world, hereby stressing the international recognisability of the fake matches. These boxes are one-of-a kind items. The total amount of boxes is not limited. As for now, five different boxes are available for 70 euro each (free shipping within EU, contact me for other countries). Each box is signed on the inside.
